Where to start with fat loss?
At FFF we frequently get requests to help clients lose X amount of weight - often in an ambitious time frame to say the least.
One of the most common questions we get asked by new clients is whether to opt for a balanced macro-split or for a low-carb diet plan, especially if their goal happens to be weight loss.
White fish is a versatile high protein alternative, as well as providing an important source of B-vitamins such as vitamin B12, B6 and Niacin, which play an essential role in the process of energy production.
120g vegan chorizo
1 yellow pepper (diced)
1 red pepper (diced)
2 cloves of garlic (crushed)
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
400g chopped tomatoes
4 free-range eggs
1/2 bunch chives (chopped)
Preheat the oven to 180 °c.
Place the diced onion and chorizo into a cast iron pan and begin to sauté.
Once the onions begin to colour, add the diced peppers, and continue to cook for 4-5 minutes.
Add the garlic and the smoked paprika, cook for 2 minutes then add the tomatoes.
Turn the heat right down and leave to simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Make four wells into the sauce and crack an egg into each.
Place the pan into the preheated oven and leave to cook for 10 minutes, when the whites of the eggs are cooked, but the yolks are still runny.
Scatter over the chives, serve, and enjoy!
Every sunny day in the UK is filled with the smell of barbecues and the bustling sights of parks and commons filled with picnicking parties. This is especially relevant with lockdown easing, but still not being able to see loved ones indoors.
Having a baby is a life-changing event, and the challenge of weight management during this period of many changes, both emotionally and physically, as well as socially, should not be underestimated.
Lockdown has been an entirely new experience for us all, and there are many questions circulating everyone’s minds about how to deal with certain aspects of it. If you’re curious about how to deal with increased snacking, changes to your workout regime, why your sleep may be affected, and if you should be taking supplements, hopefully this will help.
Lockdown has well and truly become part of the tale we’ll tell in years to come. It’s no longer not the norm, and as we look towards the future it’s likely to shape a lot of what the next year looks like. It’s changed the way we live, train and eat. Whilst it’s come with a lot of negatives, it’s also forced a lot of us to slow down, and allowed us to dedicate more time to activities we usually wouldn’t have the hours to. This includes training, and a lot of it.
