Where to start with fat loss?
At FFF we frequently get requests to help clients lose X amount of weight - often in an ambitious time frame to say the least.
One of the most common questions we get asked by new clients is whether to opt for a balanced macro-split or for a low-carb diet plan, especially if their goal happens to be weight loss.
White fish is a versatile high protein alternative, as well as providing an important source of B-vitamins such as vitamin B12, B6 and Niacin, which play an essential role in the process of energy production.
120g vegan chorizo
1 yellow pepper (diced)
1 red pepper (diced)
2 cloves of garlic (crushed)
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
400g chopped tomatoes
4 free-range eggs
1/2 bunch chives (chopped)
Preheat the oven to 180 °c.
Place the diced onion and chorizo into a cast iron pan and begin to sauté.
Once the onions begin to colour, add the diced peppers, and continue to cook for 4-5 minutes.
Add the garlic and the smoked paprika, cook for 2 minutes then add the tomatoes.
Turn the heat right down and leave to simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Make four wells into the sauce and crack an egg into each.
Place the pan into the preheated oven and leave to cook for 10 minutes, when the whites of the eggs are cooked, but the yolks are still runny.
Scatter over the chives, serve, and enjoy!

Mackerel is the richest fish source of EPA/DHA, the healthiest type of omega 3 fatty acids which are important in the maintenance of healthy brain and nervous tissue. Diets rich in fish containing these fats have been linked to improved concentration and memory; whilst egg yolk contains a fat like B vitamin called choline. This choline promotes the release of certain neurotransmitters which helps improve our memory and reaction times.
