Savour the Summer Flavors: 3 Fruity Smoothie Recipes

Celebrate the last of the sunny days (albeit few and far between in the UK) with an array of refreshing smoothie recipes. Bursting with fruits and invigorating flavours, these delightful concoctions offer a cool respite from the heat. 

Nutritious and delicious, these versatile smoothies cater to all taste buds. Whether you’re planning a picnic, chilling in your garden or need to shake up your breakfast options, these easy-to-make smoothies are the perfect additions.

We’ve outlined some of our favourites for you! Each smoothie ranges between 350-400kcals, so depending on your overall nutritional requirements and preferences, they can be enjoyed as an alternative breakfast choice or perhaps as a snack.

Tropical Mango-Coconut Smoothie:

Ingredients

  • 150g fresh/frozen mango chunks
  • 120g plain Greek yoghurt
  • 30g unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 scoop (30g) vanilla protein powder
  • 180ml unsweetened coconut milk
  • 5-6 ice cubes (optional for extra thickness)

Method

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add more coconut milk if needed to reach your desired consistency.

Berry Blast Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 100g fresh/frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 120g plain or vanilla Greek yoghurt
  • 1 scoop (30g) vanilla-flavoured protein powder
  • 30g baby spinach leaves
  • 200ml almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 5-6 ice cubes (optional)

Method

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until well combined and creamy. Adjust the consistency with more almond milk if necessary.

Green Avocado Protein Smoothie:

Ingredients

  • 1/2 small avocado (about 70g)
  • 30g baby spinach leaves
  • 1 small banana (about 100g)
  • 1 scoop (30g) vanilla or unflavored protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon almond butter
  • 200ml water or almond milk
  • 5-6 ice cubes (optional)

Method

Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. You can adjust the thickness by adding more water or almond milk.
