Bene Menu: Cacao and Coffee Balls Recipe

As you may know, we recently launched ‘Bene Meals’! Our new menu highlights our commitment to offering a taste of Italian summers, inspired by ‘cibo povero’; traditional Italian dishes born out of scarcity but rich in flavour and nutrition. 

This time we’re back with a tasty dessert recipe from our new menu to try for yourself. Our tiramisu-inspired Cacao and Coffee balls are a decadent twist on the Italian classic, they take less than 10 minutes to prepare, and leave your sweet tooth suitably satisfied!

Ingredients

(Makes 10)

  • 4ml Vanilla Essence
  • 25g Gluten Free Oats
  • 1g Salt
  • 40g Cacao Powder
  • 75g Dates, pitted 
  • 40g Cashew Nuts
  • 10g Coconut Oil
  • 40g Instant Coffee

Nutritional information: (Per 2 balls) 200 calories | P: 5.25g | C: 7.16g | F: 7.16g

Method:

  1. Soak the cashews and dates in boiling water for 10 mins, drain, then blitz in a food processor.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well, until a smooth paste forms.
  3. Pop in the fridge until cool.
  4. Roll the paste into balls and dust in cacao powder.
  5. Enjoy!
